Serena eases into Paris Open second round

PARIS (Reuters) - World number one Serena Williams eased into the second round of the Paris Open with a 6-1 6-4 victory over Czech Iveta Benesova on Wednesday.
Serbian second seed Jelena Jankovic had a much tougher time as she needed over two hours to see off Italy's Francesca Schiavone 7-5 7-6, while Russian third-seed and Olympic champion Elena Dementieva overcame Aravane Rezai of France 6-4 6-3.
