Old-School Hip-Hop Stars: Where Are They Now?

Basketball, Push it, The Message, Walk this way, White Lines, If I ruled the world, I'll do anything (Denroy Morgan), Eygpt, Buffalo Girls, They call me D-Nice, Roxanne-Roxanne, Rapper's Delight...every one of these artists shaped our(you know who you are) early years. Jams in the park, roller skating at "The Fever", late nights at the Palladium, The Limelight, The Recovery Room and others I can't recall the names to right now.

Then there was Kool Moe Dee, Doug E. Fresh, Kurtis Blow
and who could forget Malcom McClaren and The World Famous Supreme Team (Buffalo Girls - another oldie but goodie I have in my collection)
I was too young (really) to hang out in the park on the nights the jams took place, but I had a clear view from my brothers bedroom window and heard every song, gunshot, and shout. Grandmaster Flash and The Furious Five, The Sugar Hill Gang, Jam Master Jay, Grandmaster Dee, DJ AJ Scratch, Gino Soccio (remember one of his hits was 'Try it Out' I loved that song!) and DJ Chuck Chillout scratched the turn tables.

I have over 400 old school rap songs - stuff you haven't heard since the early and mid-eighties!

I'm definitely a child of the 80's, mi gentes.

Check out this link to see what's happened to some of the best old school hip hop artists.
