Delay in Release of Def Jam Rapstar Game Play Announced

There's been a ridiculous amount of rumors going around about when Def Jam Rapstar/4MM Games will release their Def Jam (spin-off) game series, what songs will be on it and whether or not the DJR team are truly a rogue band of gypsies from Hackensack, New Jersey.

We can assure you, the latter is completely false.

Getting straight to the point, Def Jam Rapstar will not be in stores this month as previously predicted. They've tried. Really, but it's just not looking like that's going to happen. It may be the winter of 2010. It'll be worth the wait, I'm sure.

They plan to have it on all platforms - Xbox 360, Sony PS3 and Nintendo Wii with the possibility of more features and sound tracks.

They ran their designers down like runaway slaves. They even called them at home pretending to be the ruthless Suge Knight; still nothing. They got desperate and thought of dressing them all up like steaks and sicing the office dog on them, but that did'nt pan out either. *sigh*

Jokes aside, they have been breaking their backs trying and they appreciate you all, their fan base, for keeping them on their toes with the facebook, twitter and youtube support. You've been incredibly helpful in shaping DJR into what the world wants it to be: a Hip-Hop gaming experience that feels as real as it is.

Recently, DJR generated a lot of online buzz and got the green light to reveal a song confirmed to be in the game. If you missed it, Slick Rick's "Children Story." There will be more songs revealed in the near future.

Stay tuned.

In addition to getting the inside scoop, expect new videos to drop soon along with a few other surprises.
