I am soo hurt. I am confused at the loss of my cousin, Andre Menzies. My cousin was killed in a car accident this morning at the hands of a drunken driver. My cousin was on his way home from work when a drunken driver decided he wanted to enter Northern State Parkway on the wrong side. This drunken cab driver crashed into my cousin's car head on, killing him instantly. I cannot even describe to you the anger I feel at this point. That my cousin is dead and the drunken driver is still alive is infuriating!!!
My cousin leaves behind his 2 parents, 2 sisters and one brother. My cousin also leaves behind his wife and 5 children. My cousin was only 35 years old!!! My cousin was also a New York City police officer and has been for the last 9 years. So my question is why him? I just spoke to him a few months ago to wish him a Happy Father's Day. He told me he would keep in touch. Those were his last words to me. And somehow I could still hear his voice telling me to "Make it Happen" and don't forget about the little people. LOL. My cousin made sure that all the women in his family were treated right.
I remember him telling me one day to make my boyfriend my husband. That boyfriend of mine is now my husband today but I still remember the speech! ;-) Andre Menzies you will be forever missed and just know that we love you down here!!
