A birth certificate blunder is making the life of David Rivera tough seeing as he can't obtain a State ID without a birth certificate, and his birth certificate bears incorrect info. The document lists the 23-year-old Bronx resident's name as "male."
As if not being able to get a job in these tough economic times isn't bad enough, Rivera is under constant threat of being arrested, according to a New York Post article, by Bronx police in his Throggs Neck Housing Project because he's not in possession of identification. Rivera, a former foster child who obtained a GED and began turning his life around, was forced to hire an attorney to sort out the mess.
