Its clear that Drake doesn't know who Aaliyah was and her sound. Drake isn't an authority on Aaliyah and by making new music without Timbaland and Missy is a disrespectful act to her short life as a singer/artist.
If the Haughton family and her label is strapped for cash. Why not ask Missy and Timbaland for help in production or insight? Is it because Drake is the flavor of the moment? We've already had 50cent collaborate with Biggie and 2pac. Both were very lackluster.
In the memory of Aaliyah please reach out to those people who truly knew her, rather than granting access to her music with an artist who only cares about cash money.
