Pusha T. is correct about Lil' Wayne's fake gangster image
by geek swagg
The recent interview Lil'Wayne has with DJ Drama is very interesting. Not because of the fact that Weezy is only almost 30, but because you're not sure if you're talking to a skater who just won the x games or a rapper who's supposed to claim gang affiliations with the Bloods. The drama interview is just hilarious when you here wayne speak about different subject matter. The thing that is curious is the claiming of a skater mentality, but on his music everything is "5, cuz, blood, kill, etc.". The comedy of cash money is that their franchise artist is caught in a n identity crisis. His clothing has changed since the days of "bling, bling" not so sure where wayne is headed with the zebra pants and clothes from ladies department stores.
The main reason why Pusha T's Exodus hits the nail on the head, is because it gives a stark difference of what Lil'Wayne says on his music and his real life. It comes to a point in this music of hip-hop where the consumer has become tired of being lied to and if you're going to keep lying on record and then blatantly become a whole other person in an interview the person buying the record should be warned. Pusha T is just trying to open Weezy's eyes and understand that if you claim the "flag" you're claiming it, but understand that the x-games and the streets are two different animals and you might not be able to handle being in the cage with the latter of the two.
