Taking Out The Trash

By Vanna B.

Most people venture into a new year with a positive outlook and great expectations for self-improvement. Everywhere you turn you hear and see people proudly boasting, "New year, new me!" Folks see it as an opportunity to finally make the changes they've been wanting and needing to make. Why is it then, that you can get a new hairstyle and color, purchase an entire brand new wardrobe, even begin a strict diet and workout regimen and still feel like the same old you? Could it be that sad excuse for a man you have lugging you down? Aha! If this is the case, the changes, you need to make may not necessarily need to start with you; they just may start with him. If you've been putting up with his crap, trying to get him to change, I suggest you stop trying. Waiting on a serious commitment or a ring? Stop waiting. Hoping he'll open his eyes and finally see you for the great woman that you are? Stop hoping. Enough of the trying, waiting and hoping, already. It's time to DO! Take action now and kick him to the curb! This coming trash day, pack him up and show him the door (whether figuratively or literally.) When you take out the trash, take him out along with it. Once you get rid of that garbage taking up space and stinking up your life, you can move on and truly allow yourself a fresh new start, once and for all. (You'll thank me later.) :)
