Favorite Things Friday: Whipped Body Goods

As the Lifestyle Editor for The Black Urban Times, I thought it would be fun to start something new called 'Favorite Things Friday'. Each Friday, I'm going to post about one of my favorite things. Now, these things will range anywhere from food (no surprise there) to beauty products and all things in between.
I feel that oftentimes we can be quick to bad mouth businesses when they don't meet our approval (I know I've personally dragged a few companies who have disappointed me) but not as quick to praise or promote the ones that do. So, with that being said, here we go...

This week's favorite thing is a company called Whipped Body Goods. If you follow me on twitter, then you've seen me tweet their praises numerous times. They're a black owned business that makes luxurious (yet affordable) body oils, butters, cremes and much more. The creator, Lauren Wiley, is a holistic healer and organic chef and makes everything by hand. Whipped is doing big things and has been featured in Black Enterprise Magazine and most recently, Huff Post Beauty.

I found them on twitter and have been buying their products for a few months now and I've loved everything I bought. A few months back I had an acne issue and nothing I tried worked. So, after reading lots of great reviews, I finally decided to try their oil cleanser and facial cream and it cleared my skin right up (see pictures above). I've been using it daily ever since and haven't had anymore skin issues. It gives my skin that pregancy glow (sans the pregnancy) and I love it! I've also tried their eye cream, bikini butter, body butter and hair butter and I've loved them all! They also have products for men like aftershave cream (which my husband loves) and the ever popular beard butter, just to name a few. Everything is made with organic ingredients and smells awesome! Each Wednesday is 'Whipped Wednesday' where they restock any sold out items and/or introduce new products and scents. It's like having Christmas once a week and I'm here for it!
