Arraignment in Anna Nicole Smith drug case delayed
There's been a delay in the arraignment of Anna Nicole Smith’s lawyer-turned-boyfriend and a psychiatrist who treated the former model. Both face charges they conspired with another physician to provide prescription drugs to Smith, who died of an accidental overdose in 2007 at a Florida hotel. On Tuesday, Superior Court Commissioner Kristi Lousteau rescheduled the arraignment of Howard K. Stern and Dr. Khristine Eroshevich to May 13. Stern, Eroshevich and another doctor, Sandeep Kapoor, each face six counts including conspiracy.

Since 1934, the Apollo Theatre in Harlem has been the stepping stone to fame and fortune for aspiring artists such as Ella Fitzgerald, Blu Cantrell, Jackie Wilson, Sarah Vaughn, Ben E. King, Billie Holiday and newcomers like Lauryn Hill. It's hard to believe it's been 75 years since the Apollo Theatre first opened it's doors, but it has. The legendary theatre plans to celebrate it's anniversary on June 8 by inducting Quincy Jones and Patti LaBelle into its Hall of Fame. Mariah Carey will present the Apollo Legends Hall of Fame award to actor and R&B singer, Jamie Foxx. Amongst some of the performers scheduled to perform that evening are Anita Baker and The O'Jays. The program will be hosted by none other than comedian, actor and author, Steve Harvey. A host of special performances and programs are planned for the anniversary concert in celebration of 75th year. Among the highlights is a new production of the hit musical, "Dreamgirls." Loosely based on the Supremes, the opening number takes place on the Apollo stage. After a limited engagement from Nov. 7 to Dec. 5, the show is scheduled to go on a national tour.
