Poet's Corner Presents: "Know!"

Those three simple words can
Be real easy to say
When we are in trouble,
When we want our own way.
We say the words quickly,
Forgetting their true use.
But I won't sing those words --
No, no, no --
They will not be misused.

I'd rather have you
Know!
What I'm thinking.
Know!
What I'm feeling.
Know that I'll dry your eyes
When you need to cry.

I want you to
Know!
What I'm thinking.
Know!
What I'm feeling.
Know I won't leave your side.
Know what I feel inside.

It's not so hard to show
If you mean what you say.
I hope you feel my heart
Grow each and every day.
Just your touch is enough.
The warmth you display
Is the proof I need, baby,
That you feel the same way.

I'd rather have you
Know!
What I'm thinking.
Know!
What I'm feeling.
Know that I'll dry your eyes
When you need to cry.

I want you to
Know!
What I'm thinking.
Know!
What I'm feeling.
Know I won't leave your side.
Know what I feel inside.
