I really can't understand why there is a beef between Spike Lee and Tyler Perry. On a number of occasions Spike Lee has given his opinions on Tyler's movies and plays and none of his commentary was nice. Bafoonery and coonery are Spike's choice words. I'm wondering if there is some sort of jealousy going on because Tyler brings out the masses and Spike.....not so much? Long gone are the days of "Do The Right Thing" and "Jungle Fever". Although those movies are classic they are not nearly as powerful as "Diary of a Mad Black Woman" and "Why Did I Get Married". That's just my opinion.
Getting back to my point, I just think Spike Lee is talented in what he does and Tyler is talented in what he does. Both are black men in the movie industry and Spike should just embrace that fact and let Tyler do his thing. You are more than welcome to post your thoughts but for now check out the interview below:
