'Krush Groove,' the cult 1985 film that tells the story of the birth of Def Jam Recordings, is a must-see for any New York hip hop fan, not only because of the old-school rap soundtrack and authentic New-York-in-the-'80s backdrop (the movie was filmed on location in the Bronx), but because many musical icons show up on camera as themselves.
