2010 didn't get off to much of a positive start for Atlanta producer, Shawty Redd aka Demetrius Lee Stewart.
Sometime Friday morning an altercation took place at Redd's Hampton, Georgia home with an unidentified individual who is alleged to have threatened the life of Redd.

Feeling his life was in danger, Redd retrieved a personal firearm and allegedly shot the unidentified individual killing him. Sometimes after the murder, Redd turned himself into police at the Henry County police department.
The Black Urban Times spoke with a jail official this evening that asked to remain anonymous and was told that Redd was booked into the Henry County jail at 12:17 p.m. on a charge of murder and is being held without the benefit of bond as he awaits arraignment.

Henry county is a suburb of metropolitan Atlanta. Redd is a successful producer with hits like Jeezy’s “Who Dat,” and is said to have changed the face of hip hop with his deft touch on rapper Snoop Dogg's hit "Sensual Seduction. Redd has worked with a bevy of artists like Gucci Mane, Maceo, Drumma Boy, Big Kuntry King and T.I.
