A procession route from East Main Street, to North Central Avenue, to Darlington Avenue was set up for anyone who wanted to pay their respects as the hearse carrying the 23-year-old soldiers coffin passed by.

Students from Ramsey High School quietly lined the streets in front of the school holding American flags as the hearse passed en-route to the Van Emburgh-Sneider-Pernice Funeral Home.
