In this day and age of travel, booking a last minute seat on a flight can cost a traveler an arm, a leg and a kidney, but not if they fly with JetBlue Airways.
Beginning Tuesday and Wednesday, JetBlue is selling all remaining seats on nonstop flights to 59 destinations for $10 each way.
Some wondered why the extremely low-fare offer was being made during a time when all over airfare has skyrocketed. A JetBlue spokesman told 1010WINS that the promotion is being offered in celebration of the company's 10 year anniversary.
Founded in 1998, JetBlue is a low-cost airline headquartered in the Forest Hills, Queens which flies out of John F. Kennedy International Airport.
There is no word on how many seats are available for sale, but it's perfect timing with summer upon us. The JetBlue added that the company plans to offer a different sale each month following their $10 each-way last-minute deal.
JetBlue Airways serves 61 cities in the U.S., Caribbean and Central America with 650 daily flights.
