ESPN.com has reported that LeBron James will make his much-anticipated announcement about which NBA team he plans to play for next season during an hour long special to be featured on its network Thursday night at 9 p.m.
On Tuesday night, ESPN's Chris Broussard told the Associated Press that James' "representatives" contacted the network requesting the unusual arrangement and added that while ESPN officials confirmed the request they have made it clear that the network was not told what James' decision will be.
The rumor mill suggests that King James is considering staying with hometown team, the Cavaliers, but some are saying several other teams have a shot at the Ohio native like the Miami Heat, Chicago Bulls, Los Angeles Clippers, New York Knicks or New Jersey Nets.
James' publicist Keith Estabrook and ESPN spokesman Josh Krulewitz declined comment to The Associated Press.
