Bordentown Man Indicted for Manslaughter in Death of Step Father

A Burlington County grand jury has indicted a Bordentown man for manslaughter as a result of an incident in which he pushed his stepfather to the ground.

Thomas E. Roach, 21, whose address is the Riverfront motel, originally was charged with aggravated assault following a March 28 altercation with his mother and his stepfather, Joseph Harris.

According to authorities, Roach went to their home on Pine Street in Mount Holly and got into an argument with mother that turned physical. Harris attempted to intervene, but authorities contend Roach then attacked him. When Harris fell, he suffered a broken femur.
