NYPD RECRUIT SHOT in BROOKLYN
An NYPD recruit in training is recovering at Brookdale Hospital from a gunshot wound to the stomach, The NY Post reported.

The recruit, who was not identified, was shot once Saturday afternoon in Brooklyn near Avenue H and East 54th Street around 3 p.m. He was transported to the hospital by a friend where he was listed in stable condition. Police did not release a motive or a suspect in the shooting of the NYPD recruit.

East New York Landlord Fatally Shoots Tenant
PATRICIA WILSON

An East New York landlady was charged with the murder of her tenant Wednesday, The NY Post reported. The death of Patricia Wilson, 55, was a culmination of a longstanding and bitter feud between Jacqueline Wesley-Rosa, 49 and Wilson, which began over maintenance and rent issues.

Police aren't sure what caused the women's feud to erupt into gunfire Wednesday, but say Wesley-Rosa fired several shots at Wilson just before 12:40 a.m. leaving her fatally wounded in the street near their Linwood Street home in East New York.

City records, according to the NY Times show the deed for 705 Linwood Street was transferred to Wesley-Rosa from a relative named Willie C. Wesley, in 2008, but another deed seems to indicate that she sold the home sometime this year.

After Wesley-Rosa moved into the building, she assumed landlord duties from a relative who died. Wilson, upset that maintenance issues that were not being addressed, stopped paying rent. That seemed to be the onset of this neighbor vs neighbor feud.

Wesley-Rosa, whose arrest record consisted of assault, possession of crack cocaine and stealing baby formula from a store, was charged with second-degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon, was also arrested July 12 after she fired a shot at Wilson’s nephew after complaining about a visit he had made to his aunt, The New York Times reported.

NYC CORRECTIONS OFFICER FRISKS, MUGS MAN IN BROOKLYN
A veteran corrections officer was arrested at his home after the friend of a victim he allegedly mugged spotted his car and telephoned police.

Danny Weathers, A New York City Correctional Officer, stands accused of forcing the victim into a 2005 Chrysler Sebring near the Brooklyn Navy Yard after flashing a police badge and robbing the victim of his wallet and $250.

The NY Post reported that Weathers, 46, allegedly asked his victim if he had any needles or sharp objects on his person before frisking and mugging him. Weathers was arrested Friday at his New Windsor home in upstate New York.

BUSHWICK MOTHER OF 3 STABS HUBBY AFTER FINDING PORN DVD
A Brooklyn mother was arrested Thursday after she fatally stabbed her 44-year-old husband after she found a porn DVD in the couple's home, Police told The New York Post.

Police responding to a 9:43 p.m. 911 call arrived at 629 Wilson Avenue in the Bushwick section of Brooklyn to find Rudolph Henry stabbed in the chest. He was transported to Wyckoff Heights Medical Center where he later died of his injury.

His wife, Shellyann Henry, 32 was taken to the 83rd Precinct for questioning, and was later charged with second-degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon.

Police speculate that the Henry's began arguing after Mrs. Henry found a porn video that belonged to her husband and the argument turned violent after Mr. Henry grabbed a kitchen knife while Mrs. Henry grabbed a pair of scissors, The NY Post reported.

Two neighbors who lived below and next door to the Henry's told the New York Post that they overheard arguing between the couple that night and on previous occasions.

Neighbor Dawn Springs told The Post that Mr. Henry, who moved into the brick, three-story walk-up a few months ago with his family, worked in construction and was "an abusive man.

"This wasn’t the first incident where there was an altercation," Spring said, explaining that she had seen Shellyann Henry before with bruises on her body and limping.

"I’m really mad," Spring said. "She’s a nice person. If I was being attacked by a man, I had a newborn baby by him, and other kids, I’d defend myself."

Police say there were no previous reports of domestic violence at the Henry home until last week. The couple had three children a 4-year-old son, an infant daughter and another son.

A neighbor said she overheard Shellyann Henry explain to police that her husband slapped her two times and said, "Today is going to be my day to go to jail."
