They say Hip Hop mogul Jay-Z was shocked by his wife, Beyoncé's open display of affection at the 2010 Grammy Awards...I bet she was even more surprised when Jay-Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter, purchased for her a $20 million private island as a birthday present.
Gossip web site, MediaTakeOut.com stated that an "ULTRA RELIABLE insider" told them that island Jigga reportedly purchased was in the Florida Keys, sitting on 12.5 acres of land and approximately 2.5 miles offshore.
"It's a tropical paradise," the insider allegedly said. "[Jay Z and] Beyoncé had been looking at the island in the past, and now [Jay Z] decided to buy it."
Looks like Mr. & Mrs. Carter will get to spend some real private time in a world, literally, all their own. Congrats, B!
