A 52-year-old retired New York City firefighter was arrested outside of the Upper West Side home of mega pop star, Madonna...again, The New York Daily News reported.
Robert Linhart, a 21-year veteran, retired from Ladder 30 in Harlem in 1998 after suffering an injury on the job, The FDNY said. He now lives off of disability.
Police say that when Linhart was arrested he was carrying a "dangerous and deadly" instrument in his vehicle, a 7 1/2 inch long home-made ice pick, along with a box cutter and Leatherman knife.
Linhart has been arrested twice in the last four days outside of Madonna's home, according to ABC News and police say they fear he will harm the 52-year-old Material Girl if he is released.
Linhart allegedly resisted officers and screamed out, "...I can be here. I have a right to do this. This is police brutality," as he was being handcuffed and led away.
While at the 20 precinct, he allegedly told officers, "...I keep running into Madonna. I saw her in 1992. I'd actually like to meet her in person...."
At his arraignment, prosecutors told the judge that Linhart promised after he was released from police custody, "...I will walk right back there and do it again..."
He was called "a danger to the public" before he was arraigned on charges of criminal mischief, graffiti and possession of a homemade, 7-1/2-inch ice pick.
Sheryl Bader, the attorney representing Linhart, says this is all a big misunderstanding, and that her client, who lives upstate near Lake George, is not a threat to Madonna.
"There was no threatening conduct," said Bader. "My understanding is it's not a crime to adore Madonna. If it were, the court would be a lot more crowded.
However, this being Linhart's second run in with officers, doesn't support his attorney's statement.
On Saturday officers arrested Linhart in the same spot, blasting music from his car stereo and holding spray painted signs openly professing his love for the Michigan native whose real name is Madonna Louise Veronica Ciccone.
Officer say he was painting messages on the sidewalk pleading with Madonna to, "Meet me please."
One of the signs Linhart was holding read, "...M, The universe brought us together in 1992 and again this year in Prague. Meet me please XXX."
Another sign read, "Tell me yes or no," WABC reported.
Reporters from the New York Daily News caught up with Madonna Wednesday night as she and daughter, Lourdes launched their new clothing line "Material Girl" at Macy's and asked her if she was concerned about the man who had been stalking her, she replied, "no."
Unless Linhart has saved most of his disability checks, he won't be stalking Madonna anytime soon. Manhattan Criminal Court Judge Frank Nervo set his bail at $20,000 - double what prosecutors asked for.
