Newlyweds T.I. and wife Tameka "Tiny" Cottle were arrested in Los Angeles Wednesday night and charged with possession of a controlled substance.

An arrest report from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department states the rapping duo were stopped during a traffic stop when "deputies smelled a strong odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle."

T.I. whose real name is Clifford Harris Jr., 29, and Cottle, 36, were driving in a Maybach along Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood around 10:30 p.m. when they were pulled over. A brief investigation revealed both were "found to be in possession of a controlled substance."

The couple was booked on charges of felony possession of a controlled substance, and had their bail set at $10,000 each. MTV.com reported that on September 2, Deputy Jeff Gordon confirmed that Harris and Cottle posted their bail around 4 a.m. (PST) and were released.

They are set to appear in court on the possession charge September 3.

Harris, of "ATL" fame, recently starred opposite singer Chris Brown and British actor Idris Elba in "Takers." Harris married his longtime love, Cottle, in July after his release from Federal Prison after serving seven months on weapons charges. He was released in March. The actor-turned-rapper is currently on federal probation for those charges.

Gordon told MTV.com that considering Harris was allowed to post bail on the drug charge, it did not appear that his federal probation would be impacted by the possession charge.
