Hip hop star 50 cent took to Twitter to defend his friend, Floyd Mayweather, after his arrest Friday on a larceny and domestic battery charge, Black Voices reported.

According to 50, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, Josie Harris, the mother of three of Mayweather's children, is simply angry because, according to Jackson, Mayweather questioned Harris about keeping a dirty house and she's looking for a "payday."
Jackson's tweet said:

"I speak to floyd every day he like my brother his babys mother did this sh*t before in 2003 dragged him to court then said he didn't hit her"

"This is crazy to me. I performed in club pure on NYE in vegas I remember floyd showing me a ring he bought her for $1M."

"Who can u trust Floyd said he feels like her girlfriend is using her and pushing her in the wrong direction"

"She has a girlfriend that stays in the guesthouse that floyd is paying for her as child support that is helping fuel the situation"

"I told him that's crazy. I know how he felt. I met her before so I told him she would calm down. Can't believe she called the cops"

"He bought nice clothes for his kids they were all over the place. His baby moma [sic] said shes not gonna force them to wear clothes they dont want"

"I talked to him before and after the situation he wasnt even upset. He said he asked her why was the house so dirty she started trippin"

"She's claiming he hit her but has no bruises. Floyd went to see his kids last night if a fighter of floyd caliber hits u, u would b bruised"

"Another case of angry baby mama wanting money. Police are looking for @FloydMayweather I just got off the phone with him"

Mayweather was released from the Clark County jail after posting a $3,000 bond Friday. Las Vegas police arrived at the undefeated boxer's home around 5:00 a.m. on Friday and were told by Harris that Mayweather attacked and threatened to kill her because he was upset over her relationship with another man.

When the Michigan native turned himself in to authorities, he was charged with grand larceny. The domestic battery charge was turned over to the prosecutor's office for review.

Mayweather's attorney, Richard Wright told ESPN that his client did not steal anything from Harris. The charge was lodged against him because Harris reportedly could not find her iPhone.

In the State of Nevada, a grand-larceny charge can be lodged when the value of the goods in question is $250 or more.

"He did not commit any grand larceny," Wright told The Associated Press. "Josie can't find her iPhone. We're attempting to find it or replace it. We'll cooperate in the investigation. We expect to get the matter resolved."

Court records show the couple had a tumultuous relationship that spawned at least one violent incident where Harris claimed the boxer punched and kicked her as the two sat in a car outside a Las Vegas nightclub. She claimed that the assault was brought on because of another woman, but when the case went to trial, Harris recanted her story, claiming she lied because she was angry with Mayweather.

A family court judge approved a 30-day restraining order Friday preventing Mayweather from contacting Harris.

In her request for the protective order, Harris wrote, "He yelled and screamed that he was going to kill me and my boyfriend. Floyd has threatened to have other people do harm to me as well and if [there] is a way I can be protected from that please help me."
