Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver, Terrell Owens was fined for tweeting an hour before the Bengals Sunday game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, The Associated Press reported.

Owens, who admitted he broke the rules, was fined $5,000 by the NFL on Friday. It's not clear what the 36-year-old Alabama native tweeted 90-minutes before the game, which the Bengal's lost to the Buccaneers 24-21.

Teammate Chad Ochocinco was fined $25,000 for tweeting before and during a preseason game. The league forbids players, as well as coaches, from using social networks 90 minutes before, during, or shortly after all games.

Owens and 32-year-old Ochocinco are the team's only players to violate the league's social networking ban so far, which went into effect before last season.
