Tyra Banks Being Used Over 'Sex Addict' Show Appearence

Tyra Banks is being sued by the mother of a self-proclaimed “sex addict” after the woman's 15-year-old daughter appeared on Tyra's now defunct talk show, reportedly without parental consent.

Beverly McClendon filed a $3 million lawsuit in Atlanta against Banks, Warner Bros. Entertainment and the executive producers of Banks’ TV talk show in federal court last week.

In documents obtained by Reuters, McClendon claims that in 2009, her daughter answered an open call on Tyra's talk show web site seeking “sex addicts.” The show allegedly called the girl on her cell phone and made arrangements to have the girl picked up from her parents home in Georgia by limousine and flown to fly to New York, where she was put up in a hotel, all without McClendon’s knowledge.
