Pregnant Bronx Mother Suing NYPD For Civil Rights Violation Over False Arrest

 Walking into the lobby of an apartment building in your own neighborhood shouldn't be probable cause to have one arrested during a drug sweep, says 19-year-old Stephanie Badillo.
The obviously pregnant woman told the NYPOST she went to visit her boyfriend earlier this month when she was "inadvertently" caught up in an NYPD drug sweep that led to a humiliating strip search and incarceration for more than 40 hours.
Badillo, who is seven-months pregnant, was held in custody for over two days before officials released her after Bronx prosecutors determined there was "insufficient evidence" to prosecute her.
Badillo screamed foul and called a lawyer. She recently filed a lawsuit against the city and the NYPD for violating her civil rights and false arrest, both which she alleges caused her to suffer emotional damages.  MORE
