Music: Broadway Blake-"Dope Flow"

Jersey's next MC on-the-come-up, Broadway Blake released his new joint-"Dope Flow" off of his upcoming project, Broadway Empire.

Bio:
“I just wanna be ya favorite rapper”. That is the statement that defines Jersey’s newest rising artist Broadway Blake. In a time when artist portray bigger than life images, Blake makes it clear that he is by the people and for the people. Blake was largely influenced by the storytelling of Nas and the laid back flow of Mase, two artists who made significant impacts on not only East Coast Hip Hop but the genre as a whole. He would stay up late nights studying their songs while developing his style; this is how he would shape his sound. "Nas and Mase played a big part on shaping my sound in the early stages" states Blake. “It's a few other artists that influenced me like 2pac, Biggie and most recently T.I, but I would say those are the two who had the biggest direct influence." It would be years before Broadway Blake would build the confidence to display his talents to the public eye. That new found confidence was at an all time high on his project “Contract Season”, a mixtape released in the 1st quarter of 2010 that helped him grow his already steady local following, as well as help build a name for himself on social media outlets like twitter, myspace, and facebook.
With high hopes set for Blake's upcoming project "Broadway Empire" featuring the classic feeling single "Dope Flow", Blake looks to revitalize a New Jersey hip hop scene that has been searching for a mainstream star since the Redman and Naughty By Nature days. “I use to think a label would hear about this rapper from Grafton Ave Projects and come get me out of here, but I’ve learned that you get out what you put out, so now I’m just working harder than ever. I wanna bring that feel back of why we fell in love with hip hop. Hard work and good music always wins."
