The infamous Idol finalist lives in a Queens apartment with two roommates. He mixes drinks at a pal’s East Village bar and performs for small crowds or does karaoke.
Odd jobs: Sanjaya wrote his memoirs, performed in Japan, and appeared (as himself) on I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here! But it was impossible to figure out what to do with his notoriety, and he’s gone through six managers. “I was young. I didn’t know anything. Some people took advantage. Some skimmed a little off the top, financially.”
