Nyack Man Charged in Rape of Minor

A Rockland County Grand Jury returned criminal indictments against a Nyack man who police arrested last week after an investigation revealed he raped a 14-year-old girl during a visit to the teens home in the Village of Nyack.

According to a press release issued by Xiomara Lopez, Confidential Assistant to the District Attorney,
Oseas Antonio Ramirez-Palma was arrested by Clarkstown police and charged with first-degree rape by forcible compulsion, second-degree criminal sexual act, third-degree sexual abuse and endangering the welfare of a child.

The investigation, conducted by Clarkstown police, revealed that Ramirez-Palma allegedly subjected the 14 year old child to oral sexual contact, sexual intercourse and sexual abuse during the May 26, 2012 visit, said District Attorney Thomas P. Zugibe.

Ramirez-Palma, 25, of High Avenue, was placed in the Rockland County Correctional Facility in lieu of $250,000 bail, said Clarkstown Police Sgt. JoAnne Fratianni. No word on an attorney for Ramirez-Palma.
