When we last saw Chrissy Lampkin and Jim Jones, Chrissy was riding high off of the unexpected proposal in Miami with a nice engagement ring she received from her beau of eight years.
The way she stressed throughout the season on Love & Hip Hop, you would have assumed she would have had one of many fittings with Vera Wang.
Well with this series opener we are seen a very unsure Chrissy. Her and Jim are packing to move out of their home in six days. Problem is they haven't found a house to move to nor have they began to pack. So they are truly packing to move nowhere lol!
Chrissy seems to be trying to find where she fits in. She wants her independence but she also wants that security knowing Jimmy will do the right thing on his own, without coaching or guidance.
Jim's attitude is VERY laid back and non chalant and for that it stresses Chrissy. This episode was more arguing than loving and it displayed why Chrissy wouldn't be so eager to walk down the aisle.
Mama Jones also made an appearance providing her comedic relief along with plots and plan for her next hustle. Her drama on this episode is that she doesn't think she owes the producer of her song "Psychotic Bitch" any money since it was her idea and the producer was a family friend, whereas he thinks otherwise and when he requests the money Mama Jones gets angry equipped with a baseball bat and kicks him out of her home. One thing for sure is Mama don't take no junk!
I enjoyed the show and it was interesting to see Chrissy in such a vulnerable light but still a cute show so I will be tuning in to yet another reality show! #DontJudgeMe

Here is my few dollars instead of my two cents! Chrissy is now getting older and is setting in her ways. It took for THIS episode for her to find herself and now she wants to live and be about Chrissy. Don't get me wrong that isn't a problem, but I feel that she is having a sense of mid life crisis of " The Chrissy" LOL. First she begged this man for a wedding and to set a date and now in his own time, he has given her this ring that she rightfully think she deserves. In some way she does deserve it. Now she is seeing the red flags that was ignored due to the fame and fortune that she's having second thoughts on her " beloved Jimmy". As I was taught, " You lead a fish to water, but you can't make them drink!" With that being said, Chrissy now wants Chrissy's moment and she isn't and may not see marriage and possible children in her future. I think she wanted those things at first to keep a hold of Jimmy and now that she sees she can make it possibly without him, the ball is in her court and she is big headed. In the future episodes, she states" I don't have to be here, I'm here because I want to be." ( Me Paraphrasing). Now, who has the " big head"? I'm not saying that Chrissy doesn't love Jim Jones, but there is a fine between greed, power, fortune, and fame. Choose wisely! In some areas I see Chrissy as an oppurtunist, now if Jim lost all his tomorrow would Chrissy still be around? Granted she has her own business( so she says), but I see she's looking to evolve in fashion, so whose money will she use? Now don't get me wrong she is talented, but will she use that talent and work with her friend in the fashion business? As far as Nancy, she needs to take her tittle out of Jim's mouth already, it's ridiculous! Jim needs to stop being cheap and buy a house already.
ReplyDeleteKrystol-I agree with 100%!! She is having a mid life crisis and she is seeing that her future may not include Jim as she is making strides to be independent, but why now? all of a sudden she is unsure what about the last 8 years???? Reality shows know they can kill a relationship lol.

People need to take lessons from Celine Dion and her husband! Although is no hip hop star but she's still in the music business, NO ONE knows about her and husband!
