Hollywood's elite stay silent..while Quvenzhane Wallis is attacked by "The Onion"

Last night's Oscars were historic for two reasons. The first being that a 9 year old beautfiul little girl was nominated as the youngest actor ever at the Oscars, but there's a flip side to this grand evening.
Lo and behold a satire publication called the Onion, called Ms. Wallis a vulgar hypersexual name.



The outrage from "black twitter" was fast and furous with @kolaboof leading the charge. The sadness of this whole episode is that this night was supposed to be one for her to remember..this night belonged to Ms. Wallis, but "the onion" had to change this into something else.
On a night when Django was nominated and we remember seeing the white actors portraying characters lusting over our black women..

It reminds me that one day someone's daughter might read about Ms. Wallis and that her achievement might be overshadowed by some sick racist editor at a keyboard wearing his KKK t-shirt typing ignorant things at a little girl.
