Aiola stood six feet, three inches in her bare feet. Her measurements were 40-26-40. Her body was literally sculpted. That was to be expected of the new resident leader of The Blamazons, a species of black women who were tall, well-developed and totally ran their own island, Blamazonia. They hired men to work, provide them with sperm for babies and pleasure. Beyond that, they had no use for them. The sisterhood provided all else that was required.

Joey Pinkney: Where did you get the inspiration to write "Aiola, Leader Blamazons…"?

Angelia Vernon Menchan: My inspiration is from imagination, conversations and life experiences…


JP: What sets "Aiola, Leader Blamazons…" apart from other books in the same genre?

AVM: “Aiola, Leader Blamazons” is genreless and would be hard to define. It is fantasy, romantic, futuristic and historical. (read more) 

JP: As an author, what are the keys to your success that led to "Aiola, Leader Blamazons…" getting out to the public?

AVM: I am personable with respect for my readers, and my goal is to write books that inspire conversation. I am also an avid marketer. (read more) 

JP: As an author, what is your writing process? How long did it take you to start and finish "Aiola, Leader Blamazons…"?

AVM: I write daily. “Aiola, Leader Blamazons” is a novella, so it took about one week. I usually write 2000-3000 words daily. (read more) 

JP: What’s next for Angelia Vernon Menchan?

AVM: I am publishing “Honorable Menchan Poets 2013″ by Dictator of America and Genesis, a children’s book “Little Wing” by Erin Gawera and “A Cancer Survivor’s Memoir” by another unpublished author. (read more)
