NY Daily NewsKiefer Sutherland, as cool in a crisis as his "24" alter ego, strolled into a Manhattan police precinct Thursday to surrender on charges of head-butting a fashion designer.
The Emmy Award-winning actor exited a Lincoln Town Car, license plate DIVA 33, with a half-chuckle before entering the 1st Precinct with two lawyers and a bodyguard.
Sutherland, best known as hero Jack Bauer in the hit Fox series "24," was treated like any other accused criminal: fingerprints, mug shots and a check for old warrants.
He was kept in the interrogation room, but was not questioned, a police source said. Nor did he pal around with officers, crack jokes, laugh or sign autographs.
"He left Jack Bauer's bravado at the door," a police source told The News.
