EAST ORANGE -- Police arrested a Newark man Thursday suspected of shooting at five people standing on an East Orange porch and wounding a bystander, police said.
East Orange Sgt. Andrew Di Elmo said that at 11:30 p.m. Monday, police were alerted to gunshots near 136 Bedford St. A 15-year-old girl who lived there told police that she was on the porch with four people when three other men, whom she knew, came over and engaged in a verbal dispute with her.
