Poet's Corner: "No War, No Peace"

The taste of honey lips
is no different than the bee's sting.

Our bronze hero is
dipping into the war chest
with a ladle the size
of a rustic township,
pulling more troops
into the war of worlds:
West vs. East.

It is not ironic to exchange
a noble prize of peace
during a time of increased war.
There is no war without peace,
because fights erupt over
possession of the piece
and who is qualified to have peace.
