An approaching cold front accompanied by a ban of showers and thunderstorms that's sure to bring some relief to New Jerseyans exhausted by the suffocating heatwave that began Thursday, The National Weather Service agency reported.
The agency has issued a severe thunderstorm watch throughout most New Jersey counties, which will remain in effect until 7 p.m. tonight, but in the meantime, residents have dealt with yet another day of high humidity and excessive heat warnings that were in place up until 10 minutes ago. Sunday brought temperatures in the mid-90s for the second day in a row.
