Authorities Friday evening arrested a third teenager and charged him with manslaughter in the death of a 47-year-old Summit man, said Prosecutor Theodore J. Romankow.
Following an intense investigation by the Union County Homicide Task Force, police arrested Nigel Dumas, 19, of Morristown, for his role in the attack. He was arrested around 7:20 p.m. in Morristown and will be lodged in the Union County Jail on $100,000 bail.
Dumas is the third teenager to be arrested in connection with the death of Abelino Mazaniego. According to the investigation, the victim was on a bench in the promenade off of Springfield Avenue in Summit on July 17 around 9:25 p.m. when he was approached by a group of teenagers, said Romankow.
