Two New Yorker's Indicted by Rockland County Grand Jury on Drug Charges

A Bronx man and Brentwood, New York woman were indicted last week by a Rockland County Grand Jury on charges of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree (2 counts) and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana.

According to a press release, District Attorney Thomas P. Zugibe said on or about July 27, 2011 at approximately 11:02 pm, New York State Police stopped a vehicle the defendants were traveling in on the New York State Thruway in Clarkstown for traffic and vehicle violations. A subsequent search of the car produced 30 grams of heroin and 3 grams of marijuana.

Zugibe did not announce a trial date for Alexander Reyes of the 900 block of 163 Street or Shyhela Lewis of Fletcher Street in Brentwood.
