Web site, Black and Missing But Not Forgotten, a not for profit organization dedicated to drawing attention to African Americans reported missing. The site, established in July 2007, hopes the cases involving missing African American children and adults receive equal attention in the media spotlight so that they too will have a chance at being found.

BAMBNF hopes to foster relationships with media, government agencies and the public to "ensure that missing African Americans receive prompt attention and concern to garner the best possible outcomes for each and every case."

One such case involves 16-year-old Anisty “Tic” Markray of Haughton, Louisiana. Markray is listed as a runaway from the Tank Farm neighborhood of Haughton. Detectives say the teenager went missing after sneaking away from the Bossier City home of a friend sometime after midnight on April 22, 2012.

During their investigation police learned that Markray then went to the home of another friend in west Shreveport on Monday where she spent the night. The Booker T. Washington High School student then left that friend's home the following day. No one seems to know where Markray went after Tuesday morning. She did not attend classes at her school on Monday or Tuesday, the Shreveport Times reported.

The Bossier Sheriff’s Department describes Markray as an African American female, 5'2", 140 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. Investigators did not include a description of what clothing the teen was wearing when she went missing.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Miss Markray is asked to call the Bossier Sheriff’s Department at 318-965-2203.

If you would like to have a missing person's photograph and information featured on the site, please forward a clear picture of the victim along with information about the disappearance (full name, date of birth, height, weight, scars, tattoos, date of disappearance and details surrounding the individuals disappearance).
