The suspects behavior was so bizarre and idiotic that he wins the Black Urban Times Dunce cap for the week.
Nineteen-year-old Dandre Moore wasn't just texting...he was texting on two different cell phones and steering the vehicle with his knees.
The numb skull told police that he had been double-texting since he was 15-years-old. The police report did not indicate who Moore was texting, and not that it matters, but one can't help but wonder who he needed to communicate with so bad that he jeopardized his life and the life of fellow motorists.
In addition to the texting-while-driving charge, Moore faces drug possession charges after officers found prescription narcotics and $4,500 in cash in his vehicle.
A further search produced an ounce of marijuana found inside the underwear of passenger Dartavious Moore. He was also arrested at the scene by deputies, said sheriff’s spokeswoman Lori Myles.
No word on the relation of the driver and passenger, but both men listed Philadelphia, Mississippi as their home of record.
Dartavious Moore is charged with possession of marijuana, while the knee-steering-double-texting Moore is charged with illegal possession of the Xanax and possession of a controlled substance.
