Dear Rick, It is very hard to tell us this and first off I'd like to say thank you. Sin is something that finds us all at one time or another. Sin can come to us in many ways..not just adultery, but just cursing everyday, using God's name in vain, or not taking care of ourselves. These all can be seen through the lens as sinning. What you have done is committed the ultimate sin..its the truth and you need to hear it. You need to find your faith and find yourself. Time will tell if your wife will be able to forgive you, how can you really ever find your faith if you have not yet been forgiven? That trust is lost Rick and for so many of us adultery can be a real temptation. Its in your hands to fix this situation and you can start it by cutting off that cheating relationship and then telling your wife. Tell your best friend soon after, but be ready for an explosion.
