EXCLUSIVE: INTERVIEW ATL ARTIST: G- STATUS

In the world of music, every so often, we come across a unique individual.  An artist with the ability to write songs that people can feel, produce tracks that speak to people without lyrics on them, and someone who can target any race and any age of people.  This particular person that we’re speaking on today is none other than the artist, G-Status.

The young man has released 7 albums and 1 mixtape.  G-Status is now an award winning producer, singer and songwriter.  He’s been nominated for 11 awards in the last 5 years, including 5 in 2012 and 3 in 2011.  The artist’s album “Targeted”, which was released in 2010, was an award winning album.  That same album had 2 singles that charted as well.  G-Status has worked with several artists across the world in the areas of producing, mixing and mastering, songwriting, and featuring on their songs.  In the last 3 years, G-Status has mixed and mastered 50+ projects for many artists abroad. 

In the year of 2013, G-Status officially launched his record label, Kingdom Music Group.  All in all, the artist has many accomplishments under his belt, but he still makes sure that God gets glory out of everything that he’s done. 

Without God, G-Status realizes that he would either be still singing about things that has no substance, dead or in jail.  G-Status states, “For saving my life?  I owe everything.  My life, my music, my gifts, my all.  I’m forever grateful, and I’ll never turn back to the ways that I came from.  I’ve come too far in my walk, to turn back and walk the other direction.  I’m pressing, moving forward, and helping people meet this Jesus person they’ve been hearing about their whole lives along the way.  I couldn’t ask for a better profession.  I love it.”
