Studio audience guests on set of a recent 106 & Park taping got a lot more than they bargained for when music mogul P. Diddy and his Dirty Money group members made a surprise entrance and began raining dead presidents on them.
No harm there, right?
Well, the audience didn’t feel tha way later on when Diddy announced that some of the dough was fake and then, to add insult to injury, he shut the set down when he announced that he lost a $20,000 ring.
Apparently, the ring came off his finger while he was raining fake money down on the audience. Audience members tweeted that in an attempt to find the bling, Diddy was “frisking all the kids” and many of them felt as if they were being “held hostage.”
Later, Diddy tweeted, "the craziest shit just happened. I guess it's shitting on me season. Enjoy it while it lasts."
A BET spokeswoman Mary Polanco released a statement that said, “The ring flew off as he was throwing the money to fans.” She added that BET did, in fact, “search fans with a metal detecting wand” but that they “did not hold any audience members” as tweeted by members of the audience.
