He tricked a sitting judge into signing, what the judge thought was a court order giving him custody of his child, but was in fact, an arrest warrant for the father's arrest from Mexico.

As a result of his stunt, 41-year-old Jean Philippe Lacombe Sr., is now wanted on charges of kidnapping, aggravated perjury and interference with child custody and Texas police have issued a warrant for his arrest.

An international manhunt is now under way for Lacombe Sr., and authorities believe he may be headed to or already in Mexico or Russia where his new bride is from.

Lacombe and his son were last seen by the boy's distraught mother at an airport on October 17.
Confusion and hocuspocus red tape led to the lengthy delay of little Jean Paul Lacombe Jr's plight being reported to proper authorities and the media. Fox Network affiliate KABB in San Antonio, Texas first brought the world's attention to this case when Bernice Diaz, the boy's mother, went to them seeking help after being told that her case was a "civil matter."

After the elder Lacombe hoodwinked a judge into giving him custody of his son, Texas police confronted his mother at a bus stop where they yanked little Jean Paul Jr off of the school bus kicking and screaming.

Diaz says that the last time she saw her son he was inside of the airport while his father was at the ticket counter.

"I saw Jean Phillippe at the Mexicana counter [airline], and my son was sitting down at the waiting area in a seat, so I took him, I grabbed him and I said, 'Paul come, let's go,' and he said, 'No Mom, because if I go my dad will kill you,'" Diaz told Fox News.

"I started shouting for the police and I showed the policeman the paper where it said that he [Jean Paul] had to be in court on Monday, and he [the police officer] said that he can't do nothing because this is a court order."

According to Diaz, this is not the first time Lacombe Sr. has taken their son.

"Last time he took him to France for two years, he was 5-years-old and in all that time we couldn't speak," Diaz said. "And he hit him during that time, and he left him home alone. ... That's why he's so scared about him."

The elder Lacombe, who is from France, is wealthy which may afford him more options in hiding with his son thus making it tougher to locate the pair.
