Grammy nominated hip hop artist, Kid Cudi, and several members of his entourage were mistakenly arrested for burglary by the LAPD.
Cudi (nee Scott Ramon Seguro Mescudi) and others were on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles wrapping up a photo shoot, when LAPD arrived stating that a citizen had identified Cudi and his friends as the individuals that committed a robbery earlier that day.

After a brief on-scene investigation, the police realized their mistake and immediately released Cudi, a native of Cleveland, Ohio, and his friends.

The "Day n Nite" singer was quoted as saying, “I’m just happy to be back. I’m a free man! For that moment I was not free. I was in handcuffs. It did not feel very comfortable. We’re in LA, it’s a rowdy place in the United State, you know?
And a lot of sh*t goes down. And these cops have to use force. So, it’s like, I understand that they were doing their job. I just wish we weren’t in that place at that time.”

This isn't the first time Cudi, 25, has been placed in handcuffs. He was arrested after a scuffle with police at an NBA All Star basketball match in February 2009. The dust up caused Phoenix police to taser Cudi who was not charged for the incident.
