A 911 call was made from the Kahala Hotel and Resort in Honolulu, Hawaii Wednesday afternoon at 2:42 p.m. stating a 58-year-old man was suffering chest pains.

That patient turned out to be conservative radio personality Rush Limbaugh. Current reports say Limbaugh was in serious condition at The Queen's Medical Center in Honolulu and may not be released for another day.

At this time no one from Limbaugh's PR team has confirmed or denied this report, but various news sources have confirmed that Limbaugh was staying at the hotel/resort.
According a report from the New York Daily News, Limbaugh's lawyer, Roy Black, told CNN.com that he couldn't confirm the report about his client being hospitalized, but that he was "concerned about Limbaugh."

According to reports, Limbaugh was sitting in a chair on the ninth-floor of the hotel when EMT arrived. Limbaugh told the EMT's that he was taking medication for a back problem.

The radio host made headlines surrounding his health in 2001 when he was hospitalized after losing his hearing in his right ear due to Autoimmune an inner ear disease.

In 2003, Limbaugh sought help for an addiction to prescription painkillers which came to fruition after the hosts' problems with chronic back problems after being accused of buying prescription pills and doctor shopping. The popular radio host vehemently denied the accusations and eventually had his record expunged under a deal with Florida prosecutors.
