Roberto Alomar has stepped forward vehemently denying rumors that he is infected with AIDS after a former girlfriend filed suit against him claiming that the baseball star "demanded unprotected sex with her for four years despite his declining health which 'indicated' that he had full blown AIDS."

Theblackurbantimes reported Ilya Dall's lawsuit bombshell back in February after she and her lawyer filed suit. seeking $15 million in punitive damages from the 41-year-old former infielder.

Today, Alomar wants the world to know his truth and says he is healthy and excited about the future having recently married along with the possibility that he may be the first Puerto Rican player to be a first elected to the Hall of Fame next month.
Any regrets? Absolutely.

None of us can forget the 2001 Time Magazine headline: "The Spit Hits The Fan" after Alomar, then a Baltimore Oriole, spat in the face of umpire John Hirschbeck during a Toronto game. Alomar was dismissed from the game for arguing a called third strike.
Though Alomar's act of contrition back then was to blame the ump for "antagonizing him" after making a bad call, today he has a much different stance.

When asked about the lawsuit earlier this week, Alomar told the NYPOST "I don't talk about my personal life, but I don't have that disease."

Earlier this year, Alomar's former girlfriend settled her lawsuit against the former Mets' second baseman where she claimed, amongst other things, that Alomar had told her he was suffering from erectile dysfunction and had been "raped by two Mexican men" when he was 17.

No terms of the settlement were disclosed and Dall left the courthouse declining comment.
