The Plainfield Police Department's Narcotics Bureau raided the 800 block of West Third Street arresting three men and seizing drugs and cash.
The raid, led by Detective Ron Fusco, preceded resident complaints about increasing drug activity and violence in the neighborhood.
Kevin Mack, 42, Alonzo Roach, 38 and Dante Anderson 32, all of Plainfield were arrested during the Friday evening raid which netted police five grams of crack cocaine, $120 in cash and 165 packets of Heroin. The drugs were valued at $1,860 total.
Roach and Anderson were served with summonses and released. Mack was charged with resisting arrest and possession of a controlled substance with the intent to distribute.
State Department of Corrections records show Mack has an extensive prison record dating back to 1997 when he served seven years in prison on robbery and weapons charges. Then in 2000, he served six-months for a parole violation.
Mack was placed in the Union County Jail in lieu of a $25,000 bond.
