Special Events to Light Ben Franklin Bridge

By Alicia Cruz
The Black Urban Times

National awareness for Autism and other events will bring special lighting to the Ben franklin Brideg throughout the month of April.

Autism Awareness, set to begin April 1, will bring blue lighting to the bridge. April 4, will see the bridge in purple illumination for the Easter Sunday holiday and on April 17, the bridge will be lit in orange in observance of the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.

For the majority of the month, The Gift of Life Donor Program, which helps 13 transplant centers in southern New Jersey, Delaware and Pennsylvania, will have the bridge kindling in green in support of the National Donate for Life event.

This year, the Autism New Jersey program's theme for awareness month is centered around the theory that belief is intangible or beliving that anything is possible.

If you would like more information on the program or you are interested in becoming an Ambassador for the autism program, please contact New Jersey Autism in Ewing, New Jersey at 800-4-AUTISM or call 609-883-8100.
