Former "Family Ties" actor Brian Bonsall has been sentenced to two years probation after pleading guilty to felony menacing and third-degree assault resulting from a fight with a friend in Colorado last year.
Bonsall, 28, also pleaded guilty to violating the terms of his 2007 probation agreement for testing positive for marijuana. He was placed on probation after an argument with his girlfriend led to his being charged with assault.
The former child star was sentenced to five days in a work-release program and 40 hours of community service.
Bonsall played Andy Keaton, the youngest son of the Keaton family in the 80's TV hit series "Family Ties." He starred opposite Michael J. Fox.
